12 days till bout day!

Our season closer is only 12 days out and we are twitching with excitement here at Dunedin Derby. In the mean time, we're making sure we're keeping a good balance of having fun and training hard.

A derby muggle is anyone who is not involved or who has never been exposed to roller derby. Everyone in derby has at one time or another come across one or more of these queries from a derby muggle. Here are some of our favourites...

If you wanna know what derby is really about, come along to our season closer "Capital Punishment" on November 23rd, 2013 at the Edgar Centre Arena in Dunedin.

Come and support Dunedin Derby’s inaugural inter-island bout against Wellington’s Richter City Roller Derby, currently ranked in the top 4 leagues in NZ. The curtain raiser will begin at 6pm between Dunedin’s ‘Bonnie Brawlers’ and Wellington’s ‘Richter City Convicts’. The main event will follow at 8pm in a battle between Dunedin’s A-team the ‘Gallow Lasses’ and Wellington’s A-team the ‘All Stars’. Doors open at 5pm so make sure you’re there for an unforgettable, high adrenalin evening of roller derby and be a part of the ACTION with Dunedin Derby for their season closer.

Derby Royale 2013

As most of you will know, the Gallow Lasses recently headed off for the NZ nationals tournament 'Derby Royale' and came back placing 6th in NZ.
